The work yesterday was a success, so we’ve now got about 6TB of storage for recordings (compared to the 2TB of space we previously had, which we were about a fortnight away from filling).
There’ll be some more downtime next Wednesday (27th) while we work on moving the Panopto database over to a dedicated server.

Replay will be down from 1400 this afternoon for two hours, and should be considered at risk for the rest of the day.

Sessions from Friday afternoon are only just processing. There’ll be a knock on effect in that sessions recorded this morning will take longer than usual to work their way through the queue.

Blackboard is available again, so you’re able to login to Panopto once more.

Blackboard is down. As we use Blackboard to handle logins to Panopto, you are currently unable to login to Panopto.

Short notice of disruption tonight, from approx. 2000GMT.
If you’re watching sessions, they’ll stop and you’ll have to refresh the page. This is so Panopto can turn the search indexer back on.

We’ve had to turn off the search indexer as it was causing us some performance problems.
What does that mean?
If you use the search feature on replay.aston.ac.uk, you won’t be able to search for any content recorded after Friday 25th Jan. When we get the issues fixed, we’ll turn it back on again and all those sessions will get indexed.
